Among all the things a pregnant women suffers from, hemorrhoids has to be one of the worst. It is embarrassing to talk about this but I know how important it is to really focus on how to heal hemorrhoids during pregnancy. I am suffering from both extremes, constipation and too many bowel movements. I just sent a stool sample to my doctor as I had been traveling and it has been now two months and I seem to be having a hard time getting better.

Of course all this lead to hemorrhoids and I had actually avoided a full fledged hemorrhoid attack with my first pregnancy so I had no idea how difficult it is to have hemorrhoids while pregnant. I am of course grateful for Anuleaf AD and stress the idea of wearing it as soon as you have a prolapsed vein or pain. I was at my daughter’s music school when my pre-flare-up symptoms started and did not have Anuleaf AD with me. I will not make that mistake again and will carry Anuleaf AD with me at all times because of the weight of the baby it is a lot more painful and harder to heal a hemorrhoid flare-up. I have been doing a lot of Kegels about 60 every two hours and I really see the results face.

I recommend that all pregnant women do this as it is not only important for your anal wall health but also for a faster post-partum recuperation. Most pregnant women get hemorrhoids during their second and third trimester. However the pushing during the birth of the baby is almost a hemorrhoid guarantee and having a strong anal system will help you feel better.

Taking care of hemorrhoids at home is the number one priority of hemorrhoid sufferers. This is mainly because having hemorrhoids is embarrassing and most of us cringe at the thought of having to talk about it with our doctors. If you suffer from hemorrhoid pain, one of the things that helps the most is being strict with your diet during the days of inflammation.

I just read an article on the New York Times website that highlighted why it is so difficult to keep up with a good diet strategy that leads to hemorrhoid relief at home. The article, titled, “Is Sugar Lethal?” talks about the negative impact sugar has on our bodies and our nutrition. When I read this, I thought about how difficult it is to feel satisfied when I consume a lot of sugar.

It seems to me that common habits like having a sweet tooth make it harder for people to eat enough grains, vegetables and fruit. This is a kind of vicious circle we put ourselves in. The doctor (Robert Lustig) the New York Times article refers to says that sugar is toxic; he goes on to compare its effects on the body to that of alcohol. The digestive system, and in this case the anal system, is often the victim of bad nutrition. A lot of the time when we eat sugar-rich foods, we no longer have space for the fruits, vegetables and grains our body should naturally crave. We eat to satisfy our cravings—not our digestive comfort. When you are treating hemorrhoids at home, you must consider eating better and exchanging a little bit of habitual pleasure for nutritional health. The best hemorrhoid treatment for home use will not be as effective if you don’t take diet changes seriously.

I took every precaution to prevent a hemorrhoid flare-up. My strategy was to beat the usual decrease in fiber that happens when you travel. I bought fruits and nuts for travel and made sure I ate my ordinary amount of fruits and veggies on that first day and second day of travel which are usually difficult days in any traveler’s diet.

I was very successful and was able to accelerate my intestinal transit times as I wanted. However, I managed to do the exact opposite by ignoring the possibility of getting hemorrhoids by having too many intestinal movements. I ate something on the street which my friend insisted was okay. The minute I put it in my mouth, my husband shouted and asked me to stop. Why take the risk if I am pregnant? I’m not sure this was the cause of the travel diarrhea or if it was something else but I guess after that I got my most feared condition, hemorrhoids.

The good thing was that I was already home when I got them and I was able to rest and use Anuleaf AD to manage the inflammation. I think this experience taught me not to focus so much on constipation when traveling and to realize too many bowel movements can also lead to terrible hemorrhoid pain. So when pregnant, maybe a foreign country where the water is an issue is not the best place to travel. As pregnant women our immune system is compromised and it is easier to get sick and harder to get better.

Most of us have a hard time managing stress. It is one of those things that creeps up on us while we are busy trying to solve life issues. Sometimes stress happens when you are working on something you enjoy but putting yourself at the end of your daily checklist. Stress management includes keeping an eye on diet schedules, nutrition, exercise and last but not least important, sleep.

A recent study in the New York Times talks about the consequences of lack of sleep on the mind. Our ability to focus is affected even when you lose 1 hour of sleep a day which was found on studies to accumulate over time. Studies found most of us need a minimum of 8 hours of sleep a day. If you want to read more about the article or confirm the research you can check the article out on the New York Times web site. The article is titled, “How little sleep can you get away with?”.

Lack of sleep also affects your body which is a very important factor when trying to heal from hemorrhoids. The best hemorrhoid treatment will not work as well if you are tired and don’t sleep well. So while you are relying on your diet changes, or even using Anuleaf AD, keep in mind sleep is very necessary for a fast recovery from hemorrhoid pain and inflammation.

Thanks to its potassium content, mango has a diuretic effect. Mango is good for digestion and appetite satisfaction. On the other hand it helps to reduce cholesterol levels, avoid constipation and boost the immune system. In addition, the consumption of mango helps treat anemia because of its high content of iron.

100 grams of mango provides 60 calories, 1.6 grams of fiber and 0.82 grams of protein. Mangoes come in different colors –green, yellow and red– depending on the region where they are grown (usually tropical weathers). When looking to buy Mangoes, firmness, softness and color are a key factor when deciding how sweet you like your fruit – softenss and a yellowish color mean the fruit is at its peak ripeness which means it will be sweeter. You can store mangoes at room temperature until they have ripen, at which point putting them in the refrigerator will make them last longer.

And it is a shame because it is the last thing you need. I am managing my hemorrhoid inflammation like a hawk. I keep clothes loose, try my best to get enough sleep, do kegels and take breaks to lift my legs and decrease my sitting time. My biggest goal is to avoid a severe hemorrhoid flare-up which now a days seems to always be in the waiting room at all times.

I will be traveling to Albany NY with a friend which means sitting on a car for four hours straight. I am definitely already feeling the pressure of a pre-hemorrhoid flare-up so I will wear Anuleaf AD for the trip. Anything to stay away from hemorrhoid discomfort. To learn more about pregnancy and hemorrhoid treatments you can go to www.anuleaf.com.

Keep the area clean and moistened at all times to avoid suffering after any stomach virus, chemotherapy reactions or simple travel diarrhea. It is easy to laugh these things out but they are not fun and simple solutions are at our reach. So keep wipes handy, moisturize and of course make sure you talk to your doctor if the itching or pain persists.

Everyone that has hemorrhoids feels embarrassed. For this reason, most of us rather buy hemorrhoid solutions in the Internet or in pharmacies. When it comes to hemorrhoid treatments or preventing hemorrhoid attacks, it is important to consider your activity level.

An article in the New York Times titled, “Is Sitting a Lethal Activity?” talks about the negative effects of sitting for eight hours a day. After reading this article which states among the effects of sitting; significantly lower insulin efficiency and calorie burning rates, I realized long hours of sitting is also an important factor that increases hemorrhoid inflammation. There is even research that has been done on hemorrhoids and truck drivers. As we all know, truck drivers spend endless hours sitting and unfortunately the pressure and lack of blood flow in the area often causes hemorrhoids.

My recommendation to all of you who suffer from hemorrhoids and have jobs where you are required to sit for long periods of time is to take breaks. Stretch when you can and move about in your seat so that you are not always in the same position.

Using Hemorrhoid treatments like Anuleaf AD while you sit together with ointments will help you heal but you must be aware and take breaks while sitting to help the healing process. Doing kegels, stretching, and wearing your hemorrhoid treatment will speed up your hemorrhoid pain recovery.

External hemorrhoids are usually confused with internal hemorrhoids that are inflamed and have grown out of the anal ring. When doctors talk about external hemorrhoids, they mean they refer to the inflammed veins on the anal ring. There are veins all over the anal system which is made of the rectum and the anus. External hemorrhoids are usually painless.

Hemorrhoids are any of these veins inflammed but painful hemorrhoids are usually the ones coming from inside our body–the rectal wall. These hemorrhoids are called internal prolapsed hemorrhoids but because they are out of your body, it is easy to consider them external hemorrhoids. Keep in mind that if you have pain, you most likely have an internal prolapsed hemorrhoid. One of the useful things that may help you reverse the strangulation of blood flow is using your fingers to revert the vein to it’s natural position.

When manual reversion of the hemorrhoid doesn’t work, we recommend you use Anuleaf AD. This product eliminates the friction that further increases inflammation and allows your body to heal fast. An ointment during bowel movements is also recommended. You can go to the Anuleaf web site to understand more about how Anuleaf AD can help.

Strawberry is a delicious fruit that is used a lot in desserts. It is an excellent source of vitamin C. When you eat 1 cup (152 grams) of strawberries you are covering the vitamin C required daily.

Strawberry contains vitamin E, beta carotene, folate, potassium and fiber. 100 grams of strawberries provides 49 calories, 3 grams of fiber and 1.02 grams of protein.

The fiber contained in strawberries helps reduce cholesterol levels in the blood and maintain a healthy digestive system, reducing the risk of heart disease or colon cancer.

There are over 600 varieties of strawberries that differ in flavor, texture and size. When you buy strawberries, it is important that they are bright red, without markings, or signs of mold.
